Pretty little things.

While in Japan I found 4 beautiful vintage bottle kokeshis that I added to my collection. They inspired this drawing.

I have made it to day two of inktober successfully! Go me! 

... and go everyone else who is being creative all October long! ... hopefully. 

I got something awesome in the mail! YAY!

A couple of days ago I received a package from my bestie in Japan! I waited until today to open it because I wanted to document the occasion.

A bit over 3 months ago we visited the Volks Showroom in Nagoya and I ordered a Full Choice System Mini Super Dollfie and now she is here! It was super cool going through the ordering process and picking all the details for my doll, but since we didn't speak Japanese it was a little bit confusing. When we started the process the very nice woman that was helping us didn't realize we were actually interested in purchasing and thought we were just "looking"... oops!! She probably was extremely annoyed that we were asking to see so much stuff as looky-loos but finally somehow we expressed the want to buy and then it became official and she got just about as excited as we were!

Along with my doll were some surprise goodies! My favorite lip gloss Strawberry TonyMoly Fruit Princess Gloss, my favorite snack squid jerky, a Sylvanian Families baby figurine (too cute!), and something interesting that looks like black goop!!!? hahahahah I'll have to ask her about that one! Thanks Laura!!!!! =D EDIT: Black goop is some beans that my husband bought while at a festival and left behind!

I finally joined in to the fun! Downloaded the Instagram App on my iPhone and now I am ready to go phone photo crazy just in time for my upcoming 2 week trip to San Diego, California and Portland, Oregon! Finally some vacation!

Hello Corina Ellie!!!

The newest addition to my doll family has finally arrived and she has finally had her first photoshoot! I cant wait to buy her clothes! For this shoot she had to borrow from Jun, but I am sure he didn't mind!
Corina is a Dollzone Kimi 1/4 BJD and is my first girl bjd. I just love her big eyes and tulip nose!

I am back! Was a bit MIA for a moment due to various things... various good things!

There are so many lovely aprons out there these days, which inspired me to draw these! I have a set of boys coming soon... they wont have nearly as lovely of aprons but they will still be cute!

Orange-riffica!

So here is one of my souvenirs from my trip to China! It took me forever to pick one of the Chinese Minority Dolls because they were all just so cute! The only other things I bought while there were 5 little fortune figurines that are super cute as well and I gave 4 of them away to friends and kept one for myself!

I didnt do a lot of sight seeing on my trip. All work and no play... awww, but I still had a good time! I took tons of pictures on the trip and need to sift through them this weekend. I might make a slide show or something because there are so many photos! I also have some sort of uneventful video too that I may post!

Still sick... still tired... but I am alive and trying to do things... I'm just snailing!

A lot has happened since my last post!

Lets see here... I got engaged! Then got married on the 21st (on our 8 year anniversary) to Greg! Took a week long trip to MI to spend time with family, and be in my best friend Laura's wedding (L+V September 4th), which was super wonderful! I was so happy to find that they used the kokeshis I made for them throughout the decor with the popcorn bags, tags and other things along with the invites and save the dates!

Now I am back and have a crafting itch to scratch, but first I would like to show off some fun gifts I received from Laura and Vernon!
I received cute little Blythe figurines that Vernon found while in Japan a while back not knowing that I liked Blythe dolls! How weird is that! Something about me must scream "weird/creepy maybe cute dolls welcome here!" hahahah LOVE IT! Also he got some Japanese candy which I think is chocolate but not sure yet! (Edit: They are heavenly caramel cubes not chocolate! OMG they are GOOD!) Laura got me an extremely cute Chococat Cosmetic Bag, and Hello Kitty key cover, along with a super cute birdie mug and little green grass growing hair guy! They know me so well! Thanks guys!!!
Hmmm, I guess I can add a list here of projects I would like to get done this week so I can stay on task(list is not in a particular order...):
-Cube Pal experimentation... with clay and shrinkies
-Photos of my wood laser cut characters
-Paint wood laser cut characters
-set up etsy store!
-and of course plan future projects!!!
