I am back! With fun things to share...

Finally getting all caught up! I took sooo many pictures on my trip! Visited San Diego, Portland, and Seattle and it was AMAZING!!! Ugh... cant wait to go there again!

San Diego/Del Mar was great! Went to the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, San Diego Zoo, and Old Town!

In Portland we went to the Japanese Gardens, Mothers (the place to be for breakfast!), Van's Warped Tour, the Cullen's House (Twilight Destination), Multnomah Falls, Silver Falls State Park, and a bunch of other scenic places! It was glorious!
Seattle was a day trip! We thought we might as well go and see what its all about! We went up in the Space Needle and went to the Flying Fish Market. Saw a lot of cool shops and architecture and then went back to Portland.

The Twilight stuff was triggered on accident! On our way to Seattle, Washington there was this large sign on the side of a building that said Kalama, a Twilight location. So of course... I HAD to check it out!!! So that's how we came across the Kalama High School and parking lot! That prompted us to see what else we were missing! So when we got back to Portland we visited the Cullen's House and we had already gone to a couple of the scenic areas where bits of the film were shot without knowing! Multnomah Falls and Silver Falls State Park (See pictures below!)

Yay!

Oh and FYI... I know Koalas, and sometimes Pandas, are not really considered bears... but they just sound cuter that way!

Midnight Showing of Eclipse... and I haven't a ticket.

It's a sad sad day in the life of me. I was all excited and pumped up to go to the Midnight showing of Eclipse today... I was banding together a group of friends and everything, went up to the ticket stand and then... BAM! Signs posted all over the theatre "Eclipse Sold Out". Ugh... I had no idea it would have been sold out so early... I mean I got there at 6 because I waited until after work. I should have just went at lunch and it would have been a done deal (the ticket lady told me they sold out around 2:50 pm).

At least there are some pro's to this:
I'm not going to be super tired tomorrow for work.
I can see it tomorrow!
When I see it there wont be as many squealing girlies around... although I will still be squealing.
And I will see it at a reasonable time! And I guess if all hell breaks loose and I dont see it tomorrow each day that I wait will be less and less squealing girls!!!

I am trying to make myself feel better about this... JACOB I MISS YOU! And Jasper, you too!

Oh well... On another note I get a mini vacay. I am leaving Thursday Morning to fly back to Michigan for my Mom's Wedding where I will be the photographer... and hopefully wont totally screw up... this being my first wedding and all. Everything online is so negative towards people and their first wedding shoot! It's like geeze, have a little faith in people.

There is nothing like reading about how badly your going to screw up over and over again to get your moral boosted! Its like how do you learn if you never try... Luckily, I have faith in myself and am excited to do it and I am sure I will learn many things. And its also good to know that I will not be disowned by my mom if for some reason everything goes wrong...

Oh well... we shall see!

To all you people that will be enjoying Eclipse tonight... I HATE YOU!... no no, i mean ENJOY, have a blast, and squeal 10 extra times for me!!! ^^

Team Jacob!!!

So i went to the midnight showing of New Moon last night! Super tired now... didn't get to bed til about 3am and then on top of that had to wake up around 6am to drive Greg to work by 7:30am because my car is in the shop... so i slept on my desk until 8:30am =)

I am not sure if i particularly cared for the directing of NM... it was ok, but certain parts just seemed odd, which yeah... some of the actors are a bit awkward and that's ok but it still was just a little unsettling. It just seemed that there were too many scenes made specifically for the fangirl making them seem forced or slow to create impact and provoke swooning but it just came off as unnecessary... Jacob definitely looked good though! Yhowza!

I guess most of all i am disappointed in how much of the greatness from the book wasn't portrayed in the movie. Like certain feelings did not come across from the characters for me. I know, i know, of course the books are always better than the movies made after but i feel like they could have done a little better... I mean the biggest problem is that i feel like anyone who has not read the books would just be like, "ok, this is lame", but really it isn't lame, it is so amazing!

Overall i really liked it, but that is probably because of the layers the book gave to it. The effects were great and there were alot of great scenes!! Oh and the wolves!!! heheh
