Owl Freebies Website - www.owlfreebies.com

I've been working on a new website for my digital freebies! Check it out! OwlFreebies.com is where you can find everything Owl Pattern (my seamless repeat pattern site) has to offer for free. You will be able to find colorful repeat patterns and more. Coming soon I will have tutorials and clipart available for your digital projects.
The goal of this site is to create a FREE, high quality resource center for designers and novices of all backgrounds to find beautiful essential surface patterns, clipart, and tutorials to help and encourage the needs of everyday design.
Why do we do it? Because “Oh, We Love Freebies!” and of course “Oh, We Love Pattern!”
All freebies on this site are for personal use only (desktop backgrounds, social media backgrounds, personal blogs, etc) and are not to be used for commercial (unless otherwise permitted) or resale.
If you are looking for exclusive or custom resources that can be used for commercial projects, retail and resale please visit OwlPattern Exclusives or OwlPattern Custom Exclusives. Only EXCLUSIVE patterns (custom and non-custom exclusive) are available for resale and retail.
If you decide to use our patterns please spread the word about our site! It’s not required, of course, but would be nice for us so we can keep doing what we love doing – creating awesome patterns and FREEBIES for you to enjoy!

I love you iPad... I really do!

Ok, so this post was ENTIRELY made on my iPad! I am like the happiest person right now! I downloaded a great vector app called Inkpad and OMG! I have no need for a computer whatsoever right now! I mean dont get me wrong... I absolutely love my huge iMac but I love the possiblities the iPad has just opened up for me... I can do my artwork WHEREVER I want! So so happy!

I mean, I thought I wanted a laptop but pfft! I have my wireless keyboard connected and hah, no need! Ugh this is great! Yes... it took me a bit of time figuring out how to upload my work to DA and then to blogger to get my sizing and everything right but I did it! WOOT! And it will be so much easier next time!

I'm just so happy right now... yay! I didnt consider the possibility of doing vector art on my ipad... I had only used a few brush type apps... thank you. THANK YOU PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS APP!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Heart Girl Hana Love!

Ok, today I have AMAZING music to share! I am totally into Spotify right now... tons of free music, playlists and your friends can see what you are listening to on Facebook! It's nice to just get a name of a band put it in and make a playlist of all their songs and hit shuffle. I was able to quickly get a lot of song titles to purchase! I like it... you might too. They should give me money for mentioning it...hahah. Anywho the band is The Jezabels and man, let me tell you, last night my volume was cranked high while I finished up the Hana Heart drawing above! Too bad I didn't know about them earlier...

Here are a couple video's of songs that I like! A special "THANKS!" to my roommate for blasting this music in his room! (and of course to the band for making such wonderful music!)

Cutely Spotted Bags, Cookies and Halloween fun!

What does it mean when you design handbags for a living and then go home and design handbags for fun? I guess that means you just really like handbags! ::sigh::
Mmmm, so I thought I would share this tasty treat! I made some Oatmeal Cookies last night that were super yummy and surprisingly easy! I have never fancied myself a cook... I have even gone as far as to say I HATE cooking... but recently... I FEEL LIKE SUPER BAKING COOK LADY! and I LOVE IT! hahahah who knew...
Last night my husband and I were having a major sweets craving but did not want to leave the house. We had almost NOTHING in the house... just one box of cupcake mix that required eggs... but there were no eggs. Upon seeing the large container of Oatmeal we had in the pantry, I snapped online found a recipe for Simple Oatmeal Cookies and went to town using what we had around: Quick Oatmeal, Sugar (I used Brown Sugar), Raisins, Butter, Flour, and Baking Soda. 20 minutes of bake time and BOOM! DONE! DELICIOUS!

And now moving on to Halloween! Yes... Halloween has come and gone and we already have Christmas decorations set up at my work... AHHHH! But I want to share some Halloween pics anyway! Me and my hubby, Greg, getting ready to go out for a night on the town!
Greg's scary pumpkin!
Me and my BEAUTIFUL roomate Ashe! Isn't he pretty! We were Gothic Vampire Lolita's! My husband was our food. hahahah
My tiny pumpkin!
My roomate after pumpkin carving... Scary! I hope everyone had major fun this Halloween! We sure did!

I am back! With fun things to share...

Finally getting all caught up! I took sooo many pictures on my trip! Visited San Diego, Portland, and Seattle and it was AMAZING!!! Ugh... cant wait to go there again!

San Diego/Del Mar was great! Went to the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, San Diego Zoo, and Old Town!

In Portland we went to the Japanese Gardens, Mothers (the place to be for breakfast!), Van's Warped Tour, the Cullen's House (Twilight Destination), Multnomah Falls, Silver Falls State Park, and a bunch of other scenic places! It was glorious!
Seattle was a day trip! We thought we might as well go and see what its all about! We went up in the Space Needle and went to the Flying Fish Market. Saw a lot of cool shops and architecture and then went back to Portland.

The Twilight stuff was triggered on accident! On our way to Seattle, Washington there was this large sign on the side of a building that said Kalama, a Twilight location. So of course... I HAD to check it out!!! So that's how we came across the Kalama High School and parking lot! That prompted us to see what else we were missing! So when we got back to Portland we visited the Cullen's House and we had already gone to a couple of the scenic areas where bits of the film were shot without knowing! Multnomah Falls and Silver Falls State Park (See pictures below!)

Yay!

Oh and FYI... I know Koalas, and sometimes Pandas, are not really considered bears... but they just sound cuter that way!
